Hero Home Improvement Contest Rules & Regulations

1. **Eligibility**: The Hero Home Improvement Contest is open to homeowners who own in Salt Lake County, Utah and are occupied as a first responder, teacher or are active military members or a veteran.

2. **Entry Requirements**:

   - Participants must submit their entries between March 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024 and through the designated contest application website.

   - Entries must adhere to the specified guidelines on the contest application website.

   - Multiple entries may be permitted, but each entry must be unique and submitted separately.

3. **Judging Criteria**:

   - Entries will be evaluated based on pre-determined criteria, which may include relevance to the contest theme, adherence to guidelines, and overall quality.

   - Judges' decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the contest.

4. **Prizes**:

 - Contest prize is 8 hours of free handyman labor by Handy Healey a licensed and insured contractor in Utah. 

  - Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative rewards unless explicitly stated.

  - Winner must agree to Handy Healey’s Service Terms & Conditions prior to any work being done on their home or property. 

5. **Notification of Winners**:

   - Winners will be notified through the contact information provided during entry submission.

   - If a winner cannot be reached by March 18, 2024 or fails to comply with the contest rules, an alternate winner may be selected.

6. **Publicity and Promotion**:

   - By participating in the contest, participants grant the organizing entity the right to use their names, likenesses, and entries for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

   - The organizing entity may publicize the contest results through various channels, including but not limited to social media, press releases, and its website.

7. **Liability**:

   - The organizing entity is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for any technical or human errors that may occur during the submission process.

   - Participants assume all risk and liability for any damage or injury, including but not limited to those arising from the use of prizes awarded in the contest.

8. **Modification or Termination**:

   - The organizing entity reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.

   - In the event of termination, prizes may be awarded based on eligible entries received before the termination date.

9. **Governing Law**:

    - The contest is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the organizing entity is based, without regard to conflicts of law principles.

10. **Participant Agreement**:

    - Participation in the contest constitutes acceptance of these rules and regulations. Participants agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and the organizing entity.
